A little over 5 years ago, a small group of very smart people became very concerned about a then-relatively new phenomenon on the Internet...

Approximately one and a half years earlier, a pudgy, argumentative, egomaniacal, power-hungry unemployed social misfit from Portland and his bat-wielding psycho tattoo artist on-line buddy accidentally happened across an entertaining way to kill some time during their long jobless days, and at the same time, achieve a personal power-trip that they couldn't get in real life. They did this by pretending to be horny, ridiculously experienced and promiscuous women in Yahoo chat rooms.

The concept? Do everything possible to lure anyone they could into chatting sexually with them. Get the target to say embarrassing things, then giggle like children over the fact that that they had "pulled one over" on someone. They would then post the text log of the chat on one of their personal web sites so their few equally-juvenile on-line friends could read them and join in the giggles.

They very quickly realized that they could have WAY more fun if they pretended to be horny, ridiculously experienced and promiscuous teenyboppers! Now when they lured men into chats, they could enhance their giddy thrills and really embarrass those they attracted! The sense of personal power this afforded them was overwhelming!

At this point, the domain name "perverted-justice.com" was purchased and the web site became a little more organized. Upon realizing that this little game might also provide them with a means to get that sense of power that comes with anonymously threatening and ruining people's lives, more losers became involved. Social misfits from all over the country were jumping on the perverted-justice bandwagon, anxious for a chance to hang out with others who like them, enjoyed pretending to be horny little girls and talking sexually on the Internet. Cutters, druggies, psychopaths, abuse victims, social misfits and losers came out of the woodwork.

The premise was perfect! What better way to indulge your own sick fantasies with impunity! Get your thrills engaging in intimate sexual conversations with strangers, get the inevitable power-rush from revealing the "gotcha" and publicizing the activity, lord your power over your target by gathering your friends together in "gang-up" chats in which you threaten and belittle your target, inundate his e-mail and IM windows with threats, then move on to tracking down every shred of personal information about your target. Publish it all on-line on your web site, then encourage as many people as possible to harass and try to destroy the life of your target using any means possible, both legal and illegal.

Best of all, you can defend every action by claiming that you're "doing it to protect the children"!! Brilliant!

The purpose of Corrupted-Justice was the same at its inception as it is now - To provide a place where people could go to see the true, unadulterated, unexaggerated facts about perverted-justice and to force them to change the way they engaged in their sick little hobby. We focused on the people involved and how they went about their vigilante activities. Our intent was to ensure that the actions of Phillip Eide (the founder of perverted-justice) and his cult-like followers did not remain swept under the carpet every time Eide and his cronies made their Herculean efforts to erase their many many screw-ups from public view. Even then, we had no idea just how amazingly successful we would be!

In our 5 years of existence, we have forced perverted-justice to change from being a gang of juvenile cyber-punks getting their rocks off in Yahoo chat rooms to at least appearing, on the surface, to pretend to be pseudo-legitimate organization. By demanding that they cease playing their games without law enforcement involvement, in one fell-swoop we forced them to begin to conform to a more socially-acceptable way of engaging in their questionable hobby. With the eyes of real, accountable law enforcement on them all of the time, they had no choice but to grudgingly cease many of their most offensive vigilante activities, exactly as we planned. No more anonymous harassment, no more public humiliation for their own entertainment, no more threats, no more lynch-mob mentality, no more breaches of privacy, no more public pillaging before their target at least had their day in court. The list goes on. (For those with doubts as to our intent, please take the time to read the section entitled "What do we want?" in this article written in April 2006 for our second anniversary.)

In his never-ending attempts to alter history and cover up his many shortcomings, Phillip Eide, now known as "Xavier Von Erck", consistently declares that their present incarnation has been his ultimate goal since the beginning. Those of us who have been here for five years and seen their actions with our own eyes know the truth. Even those closest to him freely admit that Von Erck is prone to revisionism and is at the best of times, integrity-challenged.

Perverted-justice is only a shell of its former vigilante origins because of the hard work of the members and staff of Corrupted-Justice. Our tireless dedication to fairness and the truth have, in no uncertain terms, ensured that more people are now aware of the truth behind perverted-justice, thereby ensuring that even more eyes are focused on their operation. Their membership has dwindled to a tiny fraction compared to their "glory days". Individual greed, swollen egos and overwhelmingly embarrassing publicity from Von Erck's widely publicized temper-tantrum with a reporter on You Tube have all conspired to make "Peej" and its participants a laughingstock to most netizens. Many former members have abandoned what they see as a sinking ship, leaving behind only those either too stupid to grasp that what they are doing is wrong, or too motivated by the profits or the fleeting fame to quit.

Many of the original small group have moved on, many more have come and gone, and some have been here since the beginning. All have played critical part in ensuring that the vigilante group perverted-justice.com either conduct themselves in a manner acceptable to us, the citizens of this country, or find a more acceptable way to get their thrills and personal power-trips without affecting innocent people.
